ExportOverview
In pharma exports, compliance remains the offering
Aarogya made quality generics yet had never registered outside India. Nigeria's NAFDAC, Kenya's PPB and Tanzania's TMDA each demanded dossiers in different formats — a maze that had already eaten 18 months of solo effort.
Harborline's life-sciences unit drafted parallel dossiers, appointed local agents, and phased the filings so the first clearance (Kenya, day 74) funded the rest.
Challenge
Three regulators, three manuals
Absent stability data, no agents in Nairobi or Lagos, and cold-chain needs for two delicate lines beyond their forwarder's scope. Every delay drained working capital.
Approach
Parallel filings, single desk
- Weeks 1–4: dossier gap review; stability and CoA records completed alongside the plant QA team.
- Month 2: dossiers filed in Kenya, Tanzania and Nigeria through vetted local agents.
- Month 3: initial approvals; distributor pacts inked across Nairobi and Dar es Salaam.
- Ongoing: qualified 2–8 °C shippers plus data loggers on each cold consignment.
Outcome
₹5.8 crore spread across three markets
Fourteen SKUs cleared, six distributors trading, with repeat orders above 70%. Nigeria's approval landed in month five, unlocking fresh revenue.
“With Harborline we stood export-ready inside 90 days, and their network across Kenya and Nigeria is genuinely exceptional.” — Dr. Deepak Vora, Director
