1. Our approach
Harborline Trade Consulting sells expertise and sourcing work, not off-the-shelf goods — so refunds depend on how far your assignment has progressed. The principle is simple: you pay for work done, and work not yet done is refundable as described below.
2. Free consultation
The introductory consultation is free and carries no charge, so there is nothing to refund. If we cannot help with your goals, we will say so on that call rather than sell you an engagement.
3. Consulting retainers and projects
If you cancel before work begins, any advance is refunded in full minus payment-gateway charges. Once work has started, we bill for completed milestones and refund the unused balance of the advance. Monthly retainers can be ended with 15 days' notice; the current month is not refundable once its work cycle has started.
4. Life-sciences sourcing advances
Sourcing advances cover vendor verification, sampling, laboratory testing and documentation. Amounts already spent with third parties — samples dispatched, lab fees, certificates issued — cannot be refunded, and we share the receipts with you. The unspent balance is refunded when an order cannot proceed through no fault of yours, for example if compliant supply cannot be secured.
5. Non-refundable items
Government and portal fees (IEC, APEDA, AYUSH and similar filings), courier and freight charges for dispatched samples, and completed laboratory tests are non-refundable because they are paid to third parties on your behalf.
6. How to request a refund
Email hello@harborlinetrade.com with your name, invoice number and reason. We acknowledge every request within 3 business days and share a written settlement showing work completed, third-party costs and the refundable balance.
7. Timelines
Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days to the original payment method. Bank or gateway delays beyond that are outside our control, but we share the transaction reference so you can trace it.
